CSC Type A vs Type B: how the routes differ

Where to apply, why timelines differ and when two portals are involved.

Verified 08.08.20267 min

01

Two routes, one official system

Type A usually begins with an authorized body in the country of application; Type B begins with an institution and its agency number. Current rules always outrank last year’s guidance.

02

Verify the sequence

Some programs require the institution portal before CampusChina; others run both in parallel. Keep both application numbers and submission evidence.

03

Do not duplicate without a strategy

More channels do not automatically improve odds and may conflict with the call. Choose the route before paying external fees.

Requirements change. Verify the official call for your exact intake before acting.
